On Thursday, November 7th, Governor Lamont released a scaled-back transportation plan which included fewer toll locations. The plan, CT2030, calls for transforming the state’s transportation system, using a combination of financing mechanisms, including low-interest federal loans, tolls and state bonding.
One week later, the Senate GOP released its alternative transportation improvement plan, FASTR CT. This plan shares some of the same features as the Governor’s most recently scaled-back plan, but does not increase taxes or rely on tolls.
